I'm Discombobulated

Yeah, I know, I know, it's New Years Eve. There's a million posts on Blogger about it that you guys are all probably so sick of seeing.
But I feel like I have to post about it.
Score one for peer pressure.

I myself am discombobulated over the fact that 2011 is over.
(Discombobulated is my favorite word, just so you all are aware :D )
Dude, didn't it just start? Like, what the heck?

I still feel like it's the beginning of the year. I can't believe Christmas is already gone too.

When I look back on this year.. it.. wasn't that much different than last year.
Okay, that's kind of a lie.

-This blog has become a lot more successful this year.
-I read 49 books.
-I wrote a 50,000 word novel for NaNoWriMo.

-I set some personal records for myself on Inkpop rank wise.
-I started talking to a bunch of awesome bloggers this year, you guys know who you are.
-I was a model (ish).

-I started a school dance team.

-I got my permit.
-A couple of wishes came true.
-I met two famous people from the Dance world: Abby Lee Miller and Lauren Froderman.

-I went to my first concert ever. Taylor Swift to be exact.

-I turned 16.
-I finished 10th grade and started 11th grade
-I fell in love with a bunch of new musical artists and authors.

Author of one of the best series on the planet, Vampire Academy, Richelle Mead!
The amazing Sarah Ockler!

The one and only Lauren Oliver!
- Fell in love/ became addicted to new websites such as...

This is an iPhone app, but still.

Those are all some good things that happened this year. But some bad things happened to, and I hope 2012 is better for me.
Whether 2012 is going to be good or not will be determined in the next few weeks.
I'd ask you to pray for me, but there's other people that deserve your prayers way more than me.

Then there's that whole New Years Resolution thing. I usually never follow mine, but this year I need to try.
1. Procrastinate less
2. Work harder at school
3. Get more abs. (Yeah, right now I only have a two pack, and I want a freaking six pack.)
4. Face some of my fears.
5. Write more.
6. Eat less junk.
7. Be more optimistic.

And really, that's about it. I mean there's two other things, but the decisions don't fall in my hands.
So they can't really count as resolutions.

It's just scary because soon it's going to be 2013 and I'll be graduating. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about that. Very happy. But, I'm also afraid.

The end of this year just went so quick, from October on, it just flew by.

One pet peeve of mine though is where everyone is like "New hopes, new dreams, less problems, happiness, blah blah blah." Like, your problems aren't just going to go away once the clock strikes Midnight January 1st.
You aren't just magically going to become a better person.

"You don't need a "new year" to stop being an asshole, you can do it any time of the year. And let's be real, you're not going to change anyways."- A status from a friend of mine on Facebook. And she is absolutely right.

I am excited for the new year though! Tons of new books and shows will be out and tons of stuff will happen. I can't wait to be a senior in high school! Woo!
I'm also excited for my iPhone to come in the mail on January 3rd!

Hopefully we as a nation can get our freaking act together in 2012.
Hope you all have a safe, wonderful, and happy New Years.
The world isn't going to end in 2012, people are idiots.

First off, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I feel like 2011 JUST started. I remember exactly what happened to me and what I was doing on December 31 of LAST LAST year!! Isn't that weird?! Second, you look gorgeous in that dress! It's such a pretty color on you. Third, it's awesome that you started a dance team! I don't think I have the leadership skills to do that. Fourth, I LOVE LOVE LOVE pinterest! I want to follow you! Happy New Year, Paige! I'm glad in 2011 we became better friends :)

Happy New Year, Paige - I wish you the very best for 2012!! (And I know, discombobulated is a fun word! ;)

2011 was a great year for me, and it sounds like you had a lot of great things happen, too! You accomplished a lot in the reading/writing department. Starting a school dance team AND meeting TWO celebrity dancers - pretty exciting. :) I'm jealous that you got to see Taylor Swift, haha! And I can't wait to read "Delirium", because everyone seems to love Lauren Oliver's books. ;)

Plus, that "model (ish)" dress looks AMAZING on you!! <3

I wish you luck with your resolutions...I know a lot of people tend to drop theirs, but if you set your mind to it I know you can complete yours!! <3

Last of all, here's to the world not ending!! ;)

Happy New Year, Paige!! <3
