Reader's Ramble- Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.

Hi my wonderful followers! This is my first book review! I am going to call them "Reader's Ramble."

Here is the system..

I will go over plot, setting, theme, characters, and overall story and rate it. I will not put spoilers in my Reader's Rambles because I don't want to ruin a story for someone else, I hate when people do that to me.

The rating system-

1 star= Hated book, not worth the read, I don't recommend it to anyone.

2 stars= Didn't really like it, not worth time, but some might enjoy it.

3 stars= Just okay, nothing too exciting. Just decent.

4 stars= Liked it, worth the time and money, would recommend it.

5 stars= Loved it! Favorite read! Simply amazing! A must- read!

So my first official Reader's Ramble is on the book Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, the 3rd book in the Hunger Games trilogy!
Plot-

I thought the plot in this book was the best out of all three of them. All the characters were so determined and it was inspiring. They knew what they wanted and they went for it and refused to give up. The plot kept me hooked and wanting more. Trust me, I still want more!

Setting-

I didn't like the setting as much in this book as in Hunger Games and Catching Fire. It wasn't as exciting or suspenseful. The arena scenes were more interesting and intense to read. But on a positive note, I didn't even think the setting of this book still existed in Panem, so it surprised me when everything took place there. It was nice to see a different outlook of Panem.

Theme-

The theme of this book was very strong, and I support it all the way.I'd say the theme is about how war is so terrible and so many innocent people die. And also a dystopian society and too much government power. War is more pain than glory. Killing and violence is not the answer, it just causes more problems. This is demonstrated VERY WELL in the book. So well I got teary eyed!

Characters-

Pretty good I'd say. I got to see a whole new side of all the characters and that was great. Katniss and Peeta were still more exciting in the arena, but I liked them outside of it too. The reader gets to see more of Gale then in the other books. Too bad I hate him now. If you read this, you probably will too.

Overall-

Wow. This did not end how I expected it to, and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Some parts made me want to throw my kindle down and not believe what I just read. Guess it's good there was a twist but still GRRR.

My rating is 4 out of 5 stars. Mockingjay was my least favorite of the three books, but it is still deserves a read. If you read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, you need to read this.

Oh, cool! First Readers Ramble! I agree with you about this being my least favorite book. Catching Fire's my favorite!
And, being the Gale lover I am, I simply have to state that what happened was not his fault, but it was Coin's.
Anyway, I look forward to your Readers Ramble on To Kill a Mockingbird!
