A year full of books

Yeah, I'm a book worm, and I'm proud of it.

At the beginning of 2011, I made a goal that I wanted to read 40 books. That's a lot for me in one year.

As showed by this, you can see how that went-

I am surprised, really. I didn't even think I'd make it to 40. But, turns out, I beat that by 9 books! Later this year, I changed my goal to 45 books. Then, I beat that, and changed it to 48. As you can see, I beat that too.
49 books this year, wow. That's my personal best. Definitely.

It would have been 50 books.. but I don't think I'm going to finish The Scorpio Races by Saturday. I don't want to rush through it either, it's too good!

In 2011 I read 17, 176 pages total. That's insane. I'm pretty impressed with myself.

Out of those 49 books, 38 of them got 5/5 stars.
7 of them got 4/5 stars.
3 of them got 3/5 stars.
1 of them got 2/5 stars.

The longest book I read this year was Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead, and that was 594 pages. I finished that book in two days, that's how good it was.

"Something random!"

...What? I wanted to say it.

I agree with you on the Hunger Games -- I thought the first one was great, the second one was okay, and the third one sucked. This year, i'm planning to give myself a goal of 100 new books to read. I will probably review them at my book blog, http://cubettesstudy.blogspot.com/ so you can come check out my list there soon!

Have a great day!

Oh the Hunger Games... Definitely one of my favorite series. I also read The Book Theif this past summer, and recently finished Delirium. Those two books are A. Maze. Ing.

And I see that The Scarlet Letter isn't in bold? Whatever for? :P

I read the Book thief. OMGOOODNESS! I loved it!

Would it be weird, if I said the whole reason I did was because Death narrated it? I just think it was so uniquely written, it was just amazing.

And To Kill A Mockingbird was an instant love as well. Bo Radley was so...loveable, even in his shell.

And my library has Night Circus! I have GOT to borrow it!

Congrats on reading forty-nine books, that's fantastic!! And what an awesome list, too. I agree with a lot of your favorites - "The Hunger Games", "Catching Fire", "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Going Bovine", "Between Shades of Gray", "Jellicoe Road", "Daughter of Smoke and Bone", and "The Book Thief" were all fabulous books!! :D "Jellicoe Road" and "The Book Thief" totally made my 'top 5 books of 2011' list. :)

Here's to another book-filled year for the both of us!! :D Hugs!
