It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.. except in my town.

Hello everyone! It's Christmas eve eve!

I mean, who doesn't love the Christmas season? It's so happy and joyful. Christmas Trees are beautiful and so fun to decorate and stick presents under, and the lights outside are so pretty and just brighten up the night time atmosphere.
And you know, there's those things called presents we get on Christmas. How can you not be excited about those? Giving presents to others is also so much fun!
The music is jolly and fun, the decorations are grand. The fuzzy socks, gloves, sweaters, and scarfs are great.
 The Candy canes are delicious.
THE CHRISTMAS COOKIES ARE AMAZING!

Then there's the whole being out of school for over a week. That's a huge plus.

Also, we are celebrating Jesus' birthday! It's all about being thankful for Him, our family and friends, and everything we have. It's a time of giving and peace.
But you know what my favorite thing about Christmas is?

The snow!

And the lights. I love the lights so much, they make me so happy.

For me, it doesn't feel like Christmas at all unless there's a nice white blanket of snow on the ground. I have experienced a white Christmas before, and it's the best thing ever.

But this year in my town.. it doesn't seem like Christmas AT. ALL.

It's like 40 degrees outside and constantly raining. Like uh, what? No.
THAT SHOULD BE SNOW!
It makes me really angry. I still feel like it's October. This isn't how Christmas should feel.

There used to be a 33% chance of snow for Christmas here, but I'm sure that isn't in effect anymore.
Stupid global warming.
Now since it isn't snowing now, it'll probably be snowing in April.

Aside from it looking like October here, I'm still excited for Christmas. I'm not getting that many gifts because of this fun, economic time, but oh well, that's not really what Christmas is about.
I'm excited to see my family and give them gifts. I'm excited to relax around the house and do nothing. I'm excited to read and hopefully edit my novel a lot. I'm excited to choreograph my solo and hopefully have it finished by January 2nd.

I've gotten like $20 worth of Starbucks gift cards from my little dance students at work, so I can't wait to drink some tasty stuff from there! They also got me some fuzzy socks, body mist, shower gel, lotion, Panera gift card, etc. I love my students.

Christmas seemed to really sneak up on me this year. I still can't believe it's almost 2012. Like.. what? Didn't 2011 just start? September was the slowest month for me, basically because we started back to school and stuff. Then October, especially November (NaNoWriMo), and December just flew by.

It scares me, to be honest. I'll be graduating before I know it. Well.. not until June 2013, but still.

Another thing that's awesome about this time is Sarah Ockler's new book coming out on January 3rd!

Isn't this just an adorable cover?!
I loved her two other books, so I can't wait to dive into this one the day it comes out!

Another awesome thing that happened yesterday was a new song by Taylor Swift called Safe and Sound, from the one and only The Hunger Games soundtrack!

Isn't that the most beautiful song ever?! That just shows that The Hunger Games is going to be amazing! That song reminds me of Rue so much. I'm pretty sure it's for her.
Since I love Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games, this was like an early Christmas present for me! I saw her Tweet about it last night and I'm like OH MY GOSH.

Youtube is also making it look a lot like Christmas! Do you see that little snow button on the video? Click it! It's beautiful!

I left mine on for a while and my video is filling up with snow!

And, did you guys see the Google homepage?! I love it!

I really love getting iTunes gift cards on Christmas too, because I can buy tons of new music! That Taylor Swift song is one of the many new songs I bought so far!

Well, I hope you are all as excited and happy about Christmas as I am. I hope the day goes great for you and Santa is good to you!
I'll probably be posting again tomorrow or on Christmas Day, but in case I don't.. Merry Christmas everyone!

P.S-
Tonight is my first basketball game which we are dancing at for Dance Team. I'm so nervous, wish me luck!

P.S.S-
My last post below this one was very personal and it was just something I needed to get off my chest. I needed to say it, or well type it I guess. I normally find a way to connect all my posts to you guys, but that one was just personal, and I'm sorry about it. It means a lot to me though and maybe one of you are going through the same situation as me.

P.S.S.S-
What does P.S even stand for?

That song is so beautiful! It actually reminds me of Prim and Rue, too. I downloaded it here:

PS = postscript. PPS = post-postscript PPPS = post-post-postscript. PPPPS...well, you get the pictures. xD

We haven't got any snow here, either... but you're right, there's so much more fun stuff about Christmas, too!! Family and lights and decorations and Christmas music and Christmas movies and delicious food...and let's not forget the presents. ;)

It sounds like you've got some good stuff planned for your break. Noveling, dancing, relaxing - fun! Enjoy yourself!!

I just love that book cover; I haven't read any Sarah Ockler books yet, but I'd like to. :)

Last but not least, I KNOW. I just love "Safe and Sound", and it's so awesome that Taylor Swift is on the Hunger Games soundtrack!! Yikes, I can't wait till March 23! ;) I think that song probably has to do with a Rue scene, too. :)

Anyway, Merry Christmas, Paige! Hugs! <3
