Hey Everyone! It's Converse, from the now deleted Converse Nerd!
So, it took me a while to figure out what exactly to write for the guest post because I have a bad case of writers block. But then it came to me! Why not talk about The Hunger Games? So, here I am discussing it with you now......
Ok, my first question for you is: Have you ever read The Hunger Games Trilogy? Because if not, I forbid you to read this post until you have! Actually, I don't care what you do as long as you get those books into your hands as soon as possible.
What is it about The Hunger Games that make us (or just me maybe), want to scream and laugh out of excitement at the same time? Is it the characters? Is it the fact that I won't be able to marry Finnick Odair when I grow up?
For now, I will never know, but what I do know is that the reason it probably catches our attention the most, is because of its unique plot to it. I mean, how often do you read a book about kids killing kids in an arena where anything can happen? My guess is not often, or not at all. See, thats the reason why this woman:

4: You own at least one of The Entertainment Weekly Magazines for the movie
5: You check any of the various website for the inside scoop about the movie
6: You know all the Lyrics to Rues Lullaby and The Hanging Tree

Now, your probably wondering where I got all the time time and moola to get all this stuff. All I know Is that I got most of this stuff during February (birthday month). Well, I guess that's all I really have to say. I hope you guys all enjoyed my guest post, even though it's extremely short. What can I say? I'm just not the type to write an inspirational post! :D About the Author: Converse is a girl with a small imagination, but has a mind that can see outside of the box. She has worked on many stories in her life which have all failed, unfortunately, and grammar is her least favorite subject (though she always gets an award for it.) Anywho, she still loves to write and read. But her passion is music, and probably will be for the rest of her life. |

Nice post! Hunger Games rocks. :) I just got the second and third books a few days ago, on my birthday, and I can't wait to read them! I can't wait to see the movie in March, either. :) I have no idea how Suzanne Collins came up with such an interesting, albeit violent, plot. But however she did, it's incredible!
I know that feeling of loving something so much you "want to scream and laugh out of excitment at the same time." :) Not so much for Hunger Games (not yet, at least, but I'm not done yet!), but I feel that way about Harry Potter. Is that laugh/scream feeling accompanied by butterflies for no reason? Mine is! ;D LOL
Nice post, Converse! By the way, where'd you get the movie countdown when you still had a blog?
I'm guessing I'm a tribute.. I answered yes to three or so of those questions haha! I wish there was another book to the series. I hope the movie doesn't suck.
Thanks so much for posting Converse! I could care less if it was short, at least you took the time to post! Thanks again! :D

@Amaranthine
Yeah, I'm kind of crazed
I'm a tribute! I want a shirt so bad!
I love your Hunger Games stuff! These are some of my favorite books. Ever. I'm with you on the plot thing -- I think that's part of what makes them so amazing. (Ha, and the characters.) I read the Gregor the Overlander series, but I didn't like them nearly as much. Fingers crossed that the movie does them at least a little bit of justice!
Got it - thanks, Converse! :)
